Fall After School Surf Program
Join us after school for an afternoon surf sesh!
After School Surf Pass ($350) Individual Session: $55
What is it?
Our After School Surf Pass meets every Wednesday for 8 weeks. Class focuses on catching waves without assist, in-water etiquette and riding down the line. Max class size of 12 students.
When is it?
All sessions will be from 3:30pm - 5pm. Our first session will be Wednesday August 30th and will continue to take place every Wednesday with our last session taking place on October 18th.
Where is it?
We use Access 34 in Wrightsville Beach. It's on Taylor Street in between the Carolina Yacht Club and the Blockade Runner Hotel!
Why?
Our goal is to provide students with the opportunity to surf with experienced instructors in a supportive environment, furthering their surfing abilities and confidence. This program is perfect for children who want to be a part of a team atmosphere without the pressure of competition. We want to provide a fun after school activity that is fun as well as educational. The goal of the program is for students to catch waves on their own and begin to be more independent at their home island!

What is the age group?
Ages 7-12
What equipment is provided?
We provide boards, leashes, and rashguards for all surfers. Children can bring their own board if they want. If wetsuits are needed. We can get them through one of the local shops. (Not consistently necessary in Wilmington until November)
What is your student to teacher ratio?
Student to Instructor ratio never exceeds 3:1 and have a max of 12 surfers per daily slot.
What is the rain/weather contingency plan?
If it is raining we still go surfing. But if there is any thunder or lightning we wait til it passes or have to cancel. Make up days can be credited to the spring.
What if the waves are flat?
If the waves are flat we will have an activity for the surfers to do. We have plenty of SUPs and Kayaks that we can use along with fishing rods. So regardless of waves your child will get outside!
What skills are required for my kid?
Our instructors have the abilities to teach and progress students from beginner to advanced students, so no experience is required. Our instructors range from sponsored surfers to soul-surfing longboarders. We believe that everyone should have their own style and ways of surfing!
What if we can only do certain weeks?
All individual sessions can be attended for $55. If your child loves it and wants the season then that first lesson can be credited to your season pass.
