Topsail Surf Adventures is the premier outdoor adventure company along southeast NC! Whether you want to Surf, Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) or Kayak, our professional staff will assist you in furthering your skills. In 2018, owners Jimmy Fallon and Tyler Colagerakis set out to provide affordable Surf Lessons for Topsail, Wrightsville Beach and Figure Eight, and started Topsail Surf Adventures. After two successful years, they have expanded their team, lessons, excursions, and tours, becoming the best all-around outdoor adventure company in the region.

Learn To Surf
We would love the opportunity to introduce you to the life-long sport of surfing, or help improve your skills if you have previous experience! Topsail Surf Adventures offers two options to make this a reality: Private Surf Lessons and Group Lessons. Our Private Surf Lessons are designed with you and your vacation time in mind. Our instructors are happy to teach wherever is most convenient for you, including your beach rental! No need to drive and pay for parking when our instructors can come to you! Private Surf Lessons are two hours long and cover everything from water safety to catching and riding waves on your own. Group Lessons are also available on Mondays in the Town of Topsail!

Topsail Surf Adventures understands that education is the key to preserving the natural resources we enjoy. The Intercoastal Waterway is an essential resource for the Cape Fear Region and is the home of the wildlife that helps keep our ecosystem in balance. We provide Kayak Tours and SUP Excursions that immerse you in the environment that educates others while providing memories that will last a lifetime!

Jimmy Fallon
Jimmy is the owner and operator of Topsail Surf Adventures. With the interest to further his education, he moved from Bermuda to Wilmington, NC to study at UNCW, and he instantly fell in love with the surf culture along coastal North Carolina! Jimmy has 15 years of surfing experience and is thankful for the opportunity to surf all around the globe from Europe, Africa, Central America, the Caribbean, and the East and West Coasts of the US! During the surfing season, Jimmy works as a Surf Instructor in the Topsail Island and Wilmington, NC areas where he has taught for six years. During the winter months, he switches gears to ski season and heads to the Breckenridge Ski Resort in Colorado where he is a Professional Ski Instructor. Jimmy holds credentials as former International Ocean Lifeguard, a certified Child Specialist from PSIA, Red Cross First Aid/CPR certified, and a PADI Scuba Rescue Diver. He is a true professional instructor between his dual disciplines in skiing and surfing and has conducted hundreds of lessons with 1,000 students and counting!
Jake Cecelski
Jake is a true professional instructor! A native to the region, he has taught surfing in the Wilmington, NC area for over seven years, and in the pursuit of waves and adventures, has traveled the globe. He holds a degree in environmental science and a minor in economics from UNCW. We could not be more stoked to have Jake on our team!
Tyler Colagerakis
Tyler is the co-owner and operator of Topsail Surf Adventures. He was born and raised in Raleigh, NC, but spent most summers on the coast in Wilmington, NC surfing and fishing. Tyler graduated from UNCW with a degree in Recreational Tourism and Management and has seven years of surfing experience, most of which was ridden along the NC coast. During the winter, he is a Professional Snowboard Instructor at Breckenridge Ski Resort in Colorado, and between surfing and skiing, has taught over 500 students throughout the last couple years!
Andrew Tucker
Tucker has been an avid surfer since arriving in the Wilmington, NC area where he as called home for nearly a decade and has surfed along the coast from Florida to New Hampshire! Tucker is currently studying business at UNCW and when he is not working, can be found kayaking, surfing, rock climbing or building some strange contraption at his residence. We could not be more stoked to have Tucker on our team!
